We believe every child donate them to the should have the opportunity to feel that pride and purpose! In a small way, we UNIFORM RECYCLE project! hope to provide area youth with just that feeling.... Uniform jerseys, shorts and cleats collected will be distributed to local soccer clubs that could use a helping hand. In particular, the donations will provide the Detroit PAL soccer clubs and the Pontiac Futbol Academy the opportunity to utilize travel soccer uniform equipment. Pontiac Futbol Academy; serving Pontiac and surrounding communities for the past three years and growing in number each season. “ Although our league is open to any child or youth interested in playing and competing in soccer, the majority of our players come from low income families with very limited resources, “ says club President, Vania Ruiz. “ Prior to our league, these children and youth had little to no opportunities to participate in after school activities or organized sports at a low cost... it goes on to highlight the resilience of the children and youth in Pontiac and that with a little hard work and volunteers these children and youth have risen to the plate and excelled in the sport of soccer.
