VIDEO: Loved Ones Remembered at Saline's Relay for Life

Saline's Relay for Life event wraps up at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Participants in Saline's first-ever Relay for Life event remembered those who have fallen victim to cancer during the Luminaria Ceremony held at 9:45 p.m. Saturday.

The ceremony, part of a 24-hour event that wraps up at 10 a.m. Sunday, began with playing of the bagpipes. After a short address from a woman battling cancer, names of cancer victims flashed on a screen as music played. The ceremony finished with a silent lap around the dark Crabtree Field track, which was lit with decorated and illuminated paper bags, in honor of those who lost their battle with cancer.
