Jeff Daniels Returns to Purple Rose Stage for Special "Unplugged" Holiday Concert
The Newsroom's Jeff Daniels will perform six concerts in Chelsea beginning Dec. 27.
CHELSEA — The Purple Rose Theatre Company will present "Jeff Daniels Onstage & Unplugged" for a limited six-show engagement Dec. 27 through Dec. 31. All performances will be at The Purple Rose Theatre Company, 137 Park St. in Chelsea. A prolific songwriter as well as playwright, Daniels, the theater's founder and executive director, will perform an arsenal of songs that are alternately humorous and poignant. Daniels has toured nationally with his music, but has reduced his concert appearances since landing the lead role on HBO’s acclaimed series The Newsroom. “Jeff’s got an incredibly busy schedule now, so we’re honored that he’s able to fit in these concerts during his holiday break,” Artistic Director Guy Sanville said.
