The group reaches out to help others with food, medicine, personal needs, housing, utilities, gasoline, referrals, crisis intervention and short-term counseling. It offers volunteer opportunities, including holiday adopt-a-family, share day, visiting shut-ins, activity group for socially impaired adults and transportation.

The Liberty School in Saline, formerly a middle and high school, houses the administrative offices for the Saline AreaMore Schools, as well as Saline's alternative high school program, in which students are offered a comprehensive education in academics and technical literacy and apply these skills to work situations to prepare them for a successful life beyond school. In addition, the Liberty School regularly hosts community events and activities, including the historical society's annual antiques show.
