Eat-Shop-Give and More This Weekend in the Saline Area

1. EAT-SHOP-GIVE Fundraiser

  • When: Friday, June 28, 2013, 9:00 AM
  • Where: Downtown Dexter
  • What: Enjoy great food and shopping in fabulous Downtown Dexter!  The Home Store, Nichols and Stafford, Artistica, The Red Brick Kitchen and Bar, Aubree's Pizzeria and Grill, and Dexter's Pub will generously donate a percentage of the day's sales to Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure to support their mission in finding a cure for breast cancer. Aubree's and the Pub require guests to present a flyer in order for a donation to be made.  Go to bclouie4@aol.com to request a flyer. Look for the PINK BALLOONS in front of participating businesses.

2. "In the Pink," Garden Walk and Flower Show

  • When: Saturday, June 29, 2013, 10:00 AM
  • Where: Saline District Library, 555 N Maple Rd Saline
  • What: The Saline Stone and Thistle Garden Club will be hosting a garden walk on Saturday June 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Participants will be given guided tours of many local gardens, including the Saline District Library garden, which is maintained by the club. Tickets are $10 on the day of the walk or $8 in advance. Tickets may be purchased at the following local businesses: Pineapple House, Maureen's Designs, Cobblestone Rose, Saline Flowerland, Nature's Gardens and Ann Arbor Downtown Home and Garden.

3. Miles and Ellie

  • When: Sunday, June 30, 2013, 2:00 PM
  • Where: Chelsea
  • What: Miles and Ellie are two teenagers in love when a youthful misunderstanding breaks them apart. Flash forward 20 years and a disenchanted Ellie has come home for what she expects to be a typical dysfunctional family Thanksgiving. Not long into the family shenanigans, however, Ellie learns that Miles is still in town and carrying a torch for her. Is it possible to get a second chance at your first love? This charming romantic comedy will make you wonder "what if?"
