Saline High School Ranked 4th Best in State Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

The publications published their 2013 America's Best High School rankings Monday, listing the top 2,000 schools in the country. Four are in Ann Arbor, one is in Saline and one is in Chelsea, according to annarbor.com. (Read more here.)

3. Names in the news

Fourteen students from the Ann Arbor area have won $2,500 scholarships in the 58th annual National Merit Scholarship Competition, according to annarbor.com, with one Saline High School studentJessica Lipa, Probable career field: Chemical engineering.

  • Saline New Horizons Band Looking for Musicians and Potential Musicians 

Saline has a very active New Horizons Band, serving the Saline area, Saline School Communities and Washtenaw County.  The Saline New Horizons Band 2013 is resuming practice for a new season of Music, Fun, and Community Service.  The Ban invites all who play instruments, or would like to learn to play to join them this season.
