5 Things You Should Know This Week in Saline

  • The last day to register to vote in the Nov. 5 election is Monday, Oct. 7.
  • The Saline City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at the Saline Municipal Building.
  • The Saline Recreation Center will host a Pink Out day to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Wear pink for free admission to the facility and any fitness class.
  • Honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month during Ladies Night Out from 3-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in downtown Saline. The event features an evening of shopping, plus food and drink specials.The Friends of the Saline District Library will host its monthly book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. Patrons can fill a bag of books for $5; the second bag is free.
  • Historical interpreter and actor Russell Dore will discuss Henry Ford during a Saline Area Historical Society’s education program at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Saline Public Library.
