Hi Joe, I saw the item about the Penny Seats Theatre in Ann Arbor. I went to the A2 Art Fair today, and afterwards stayed in A2 to go to the play.  I just wanted to drop you a line about how much I enjoyed it! My parents used to take me to "The Musical Tent" in Clio every year when I was a kid, we used to get season tickets every year. This reminded me of that, and how I wished my parents could have been with me to enjoy it. Live musical theatre, outside in a park, a beautiful summer evening, it was a lot of fun!  Please recommend it to your readers, Thank you, Laura

Susie Duncan Sexton's latest delightful Old Type Writer column on Jennifer Zartman Romano's Talk of the Town newsblog features Little Me. You can read the piece at http://www.talkofthetownwc.com/oldtypewriter/

Here's an excerpt...

The entire cast is terrific and "gets" the satire and "gets" the dry wit and happily, physically engages in slap-stick extraordinaire.  I'd seen this "show" live in Indianapolis in the early 60s featuring movie star Donald O'Connor of "Francis the Talking Mule" and "Singing in the Rain" and "There's No Business Like Show Business" and "Beau Geste" and oh, my oh, my!  I do not even remember Donald…I can never forget Roy!  He amazed even his own proud mom and pop!

You can read the rest at this link - http://www.talkofthetownwc.com/oldtypewriter/ - and three more chances to see the show (this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 pm at Ann Arbor's West Park Band Shell).
