Kari Holmes performs a free concert in Downtown Saline Thursday evening.
Holmes, a country, rock and pop singer/songwriter inspired by artists like Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson and Adele, takes the Summer Music Series stage at 7 p.m. on South Ann Arbor Street.
A performer since she was four years old, Holmes has written over 50 songs so far.
"Writing songs is a way to express my love, heartbreaks, joys, concerns, excitement, doubt, friendship, etc.," Holmes writes in her biography found at Reverbnation.com. "Basically, it's a way to express how I react to what life gives me...good and bad! Through them, I hope to touch the hearts of everyone."
Holmes and her band have played all over Michigan and have made the trip to Nashville, too.
If there severe weather, the show could be moved to Liberty School.
Artists from the Two Twelve Arts Center will be at the concert to provide materials for children who wish to make street art.
Downtown restaurants are also offering specials in conjunction with the Summer Music Series.
