Saline Finishes SEC Dual Match Season at 10-0

The Saline girls' golf team finished 10-0 in the SEC and seeks to defend its SEC title Wednesday.

Match medalist Karla Gross shot a one-over-par 37 to lead the Saline girls' goft team to victories over Ypsilanti and Lincoln at Pineview Golf Course Monday.

With the two victories, the Hornets finished their SEC season unbeaten at 10-0. Saline's top four golfers shot a 176, easily outpacing Ypsilanti, 220, and Lincoln, 229.

Gross had a steady round again, according to coach Betsy French. Gross bookended her match with birdies on the first and ninth holes.

Emily White shot a 43, Stacy Cruze carded a 47 and Heather Vogt shot a 49 to complete Saline's scoring.

In junior varsity action, the Hornets played the Little Pines par-three golf course. Scoring for Saline were Rachel Hysong (39), Louisa Antonelli (41), Caitlin Swiney (47) and Lauren Rasmussen (49).
