Saline Comeback Falls Short at Colonial Lanes
The Hornets fell behind 10-0 to Skyline before rallying.
A slow start cost the Saline boys’ varsity bowling team at Colonial Lanes in Ann Arbor Monday. Saline dropped the opening Baker games to Skyline and fell behind 10-0. The Hornets stormed back to tie the meet at 15, but lost on the tie-breaking pin count.
Saline fell to 2-1.
“We didn’t bowl well in the Baker games. It might just be that the boys weren’t used to the way they oil the floors here. But we fell behind 10-0 and that’s hard to come back from,” said Saline coach John McMullen. “I’m proud of the way we battled back, though. I think we learned a lesson today.”
