Question of the Day

Yesterday, we asked if the City of Saline should . Off the 33 respondants, 19 said "Yes," 12 said "No" and two said they were "Not Sure." (City Council voted 6-1 last night to in 2012).

Today we ask whether or not the city should spend $15,000 annually to hire a part-time officer who will enforce parking rules in lots downtown. At present, the parking rules are not enforced. Some business owners say downtown residents and employees are hogging all the parking spots meant for customers. Others say parking tickets will chase customers from downtown. What do you say?

To answer, see the poll at the bottom of the page.

Today's Good Morning Saline greeting was given by Saline Mayor Gretchen Driskell, who welcomed visitors from Saline's Sister City of Lindenberg, Germany, and invited residents to come to Oktoberfest in downtown Saline Friday and Saturday.
