You Decide: Which School Rocked the Hardest? (With Video)

Friday's sold-out Schools of Rock event raised more than $7,000 for the Foundation for Saline Area Schools' literacy campaign.

Teachers, support staff and school administration bounced around the middle school auditorium in front of a sold out crowd to Beyonce's Single Ladies. With more than 700 people in the auditorium (and another 150 turned away), the audience chose Saline Middle School as champions, earning a $500 check for the PTO.

Checks were also awarded to the PTOs at School, whose teachers and staff finished second, and , whose teachers and staff took third.

The Foundation for Saline Area Schools event raised more than $7,000 in support of the district's literacy campaign. The foundation aims to raise $70,000 to help the district purchase new classroom libraries in support of an enhanced literacy strategy in the district.
