Trail and Disc Golf Course Dedicated in Beloved Coach's Honor

Turnout "really made me realize that Mr. Price didn't just mean something to me - he meant so much to so many people," says one of the organizers of the project.

A new trail and disc golf course was dedicated Monday in memory of a beloved Saline High School coach who died two years ago.

Members of the family of Mike Price officially cut the ribbon on the Mike Price Memorial Trail and Disc Golf Course located on the high school grounds, according to the Saline Reporter.

“This area belongs to the community, and I think Mr. Price would have been glad to see us using it,” said Kelly Hall, one of three Saline High School graduates who helped organize the project.

Family members attending the ceremony included the coach’s widow Merry, and their three children, Renee, Matt and Amanda. Also on hand were Saline school superintendent Scot Graden, school board trustees and members of the Saline City Council.

Hall said the turnout illustrated the important role Coach Price played in the community.
