Search for SHS Principal Continues with Public Interviews Wednesday

The public is invited to attend candidate forums at 6 p.m.

The search for a new Saline High School principal continues at 6 p.m., May 2, at Saline High School.

The public is invited to observe the three finalists for the post during 40-minute candidate forums. During the interviews, candidates will be asked predetermined questions. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to submit questions on note cards and those questions will be presented to the candidates as time permits.

The finalists are Milan Area Schools assistant superintendent Julie Helber, Hartland High School assistant principal Alice Lashbrook, and Plymouth High School assistant principal Tyrone Weeks.

They were selected as finalists by a committee of parents, teachers, administrators and a student met for 10 hours to interview eight candidates April 25.

The district began the search when former principal Ben Williams resigned to become superintendent of Central Lake Public Schools. Eric Diroff has served as principal in the interim.
