Saline Preschool Earns National Accreditation

This is the fourth time Bemis Farms Preschool and Child Care has been recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

“The mark of quality in early childhood education” has been given once again to Bemis Farms Preschool and Child Care.

Bemis Farms has achieved the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation renewal for the fourth time since its founding in 1994. NAEYC Accreditation is earned by centers that have “voluntarily undergone a comprehensive process of internal self-study and improvement.”

There are many standards a center must meet, including nutrition, health, ongoing assessments, implementing a curriculum, community relationships and employing a teaching staff with educational qualifications, knowledge and professional commitment.

NAEYC Accreditation is awarded for five year terms. Within this time frame, Bemis Farms will submit reports documenting their compliance with the standards, and will be subject to random visits from NAEYC to ensure continuation of excellence.

“We couldn’t be more proud of all the hard work and dedication of our staff, to continue providing a high quality program for the children of our community,” Tammie King, co-owner, said in a news release.
