Empty Bowls Benefit Sells Out

Thursday’s Empty Bowl’s benefit for Food Gatherers at Saline High School is officially sold out.
In an email sent out Wednesday night, Steve Laatsch, assistant superintendent of instructional services for Saline Area Schools, reported that all 600 tickets have been sold. The
“We are now officially at our capacity for Empty Bowls (600 people). The event is officially SOLD OUT!” Laatsch wrote. “We will not be selling any tickets at the door of the event.”

The 2011 Empty Bowls benefit raised nearly $3,000 for Food Gatherers of Washtenaw County, according to Laatsch.
Tickets cost $12 per person or $40 per family.

The event is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Saline High School Commons.
“For those of you attending the event, we look forward to a great evening of celebrating the Saline Area Schools' Fine Art Department and the Culinary Arts Department. We will also be able to make a sizable contribution toward Food Gatherers of Washtenaw County as a result of your participation,” Laatsch wrote.
