Back to School: Washtenaw Christian Academy

Here's what's new at Washtenaw Christian Academy as students prepare to return to class.

New Faces: First-grade Teacher Julie Castle, school secretary Jessica LaPres, administrative assistant Laurie Nunez,  Spanish teacher Amanda Stenzel and new third grade teacher should be on board by the start of classes.

New Places: All other staff is in previously held roles.

New Spaces: All teachers at Washtenaw Christian Academy have new computers. All classrooms are now equipped with SMART boards (interactive whiteboards). The computer labs have new thin client computer systems for students.

New Classes/Programs: There are no new classes or programs this year at Washtenaw Christian Academy.

Rules For School: There are no new rules for the 2011-12 school year.

School Day Hours: 8:15 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. (elementary) and 8:15 a.m. to 3:26 p.m. (high school)

Orientation/Walk-through dates: Parent orientation is on at 7 p.m., Sept. 1.
