Back to School: Harvest Elementary School

Here are things to know about Harvest Elementary School as children prepare to return to class.

New Faces:  Anne Classion is a new Quest teacher at Harvest this year. Charles Couasnon will teach art, and the new media specialist/special education teacher is Peggy McEvoy.

New Places: Debbie Kolacki, formerly a kindergarten teacher will be the speech and language teacher, Cindy Fisher will teach first grade instead of third this year, and Cindy Larsen, formerly an art teacher, will teach third grade.

New Spaces: Harvest now has EPSON projectors in all K-3 classes.  Also, by early fall, all K-3 classes will have an Elmos machine, the next generation overhead projector.

New Programs: Building on last year's programs, Harvest is adding Reader's Workshop to the reading curriculum.

Rules For School: No new rules are in place.

School Day Hours:  8:50a.m. - 3:35 p.m.

Walk-Through: Wednesday, Aug. 31 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.

Message from the Principal:  "We're really excited to see all the new faces of our kindergartners new to the school this year, as well as returning students. I'm excited about the new reading program, and really look forward to continuing the collaborative effort we have between the school and our familes.
