Saline Students Earn Wins at Business Professionals of America Competition:

During the week of March 21-24 members of the Saline chapter of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) competed at the State Competition in Grand Rapids. BPA is a national career and technical student organization consisting of 23 state associations and more than 54,000 members. The organization serves secondary and post secondary business education students.

The Saline BPA students are part of Mrs. Cammarata, Mrs. Gillow, and Dr. Sartori’s accounting, business, and computer servicing classes. As a part of the classes the students develop the necessary skills to compete in these competitions as well as advance to post secondary educational and career opportunities. While all students at the state competition did a fantastic job, the following students qualified for the national competition in Orlando, FL.

Edric Ju: Computer Programming Concepts, Information Technology Concepts, and PC Servicing & Troubleshooting.

Shyam Shah: Financial Math & Analysis and Fundamental Accounting.

Abigail Spickard: Fundamental Accounting.

Dino Tzavaras: Financial Math & Analysis.

A special congratulations to senior Edric Ju who placed 9th in the nation, competing in the Information Technology competition.

The travel to these competitions would not be possible without supportive parents and the following businesses for their generous donations: Charles Reinhart Company Realtors (Saline Office) and Binh's Place Hair & Spa Salon of Ann Arbor.
