York Township Parks and Recreation Committee Seeks New Member
The volunteer position requirements are not extensive, but commitment is needed.
The Parks and Recreation Committee is seeking a new member to join its ranks. The position is voluntary, but there is a three year term that accompanies it. The committee oversees, maintains and helps develop parklands in York Township.
“We would certainly like to get somebody that shares our interest in parks and nature to join us,” said committee chairman Frank Stukenborg.
There are also a few requirements for the position. Interested parties need:

- To be a resident of York Township
- Be available to attend monthly meetings. Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7:30p.m.
- Have an interest in parks and environmental issues.
In addition to the aforementioned requirements, the committee asks, but does not require, that the new member be able to help with some physical work in York Township parks. Such work would include small maintenance and development projects around York Township.
