Pittsfield Police: Lodi Man Found Passed Out With Stolen Goods in Car

A 20-year-old Lodi man faces several charges after he was found passed out at the wheel of a vehicle containing goods taken in a Lodi Township burglary, according to a report.

are seeking charges against a 20-year-old Lodi Township man found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle containing several items police believe were taken from a burglarized home.

At 3:30 a.m. July 1, police responded to the area of Michigan Avenue and Carpenter Road for a report of a male passed out behind the vehicle, according to a news release issued by Pittsfield Township police Monday.

The man was arrested on charge of operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs. Inside the vehicle, police found property they did not believe belonged to the suspect, The investigation later revealed that the property might have been taken during an unreported burglary of a Lodi Township home.

Police have requested the following charges against the man: Receiving and concealing stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon, operating under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools and minor in possession of alcohol.

The suspect was lodged at the Washtenaw County Jail pending the prosecutor’s review.
