Pittsfield Police: Man Tied Up While Suspects Robbed Home

A 19-year-old resident of the Pine of Lake Forest subdivision told police that four males broke into his home, showed a knife, tied him up and robbed the house.

Pittsfield Police are investigating a report of a knife-wielding home invaders who tied up a resident and then stole items from a home in the Pines of Lake Forest subdivision.

The 19-year-old resident told police that he was confronted by four males who forced entry into the house on the 4100 block of Timber Ridge Drive through a rear glass door at about 2 p.m. Monday, according to a release issued by Pittsfield police. One of the males displayed a knife and tied up the teen while suspects removed property from the home, according to the report.

An Ypsilanti Police canine unit assisted on the scene but police were not able to track down the suspects.

The teen described the suspects as four men in their 30s, whom he did not know. He said three of the men were wearing a black jacket and a fourth was wearing a navy jacket, according to the report. All of the suspects were wearing University of Michigan hats, according to the report.
