Milan Lifts Snow Emergency

Residents can resume parking on city streets

The City of Milan has lifted its snow emergency.

Residents are now free to park vehicles on city streets without fear of tickets and towing. During a snow emergency, residents are asked to remove vehicles from streets to give Department of Publics Works employees the ability to clear snow.

According to a news release issued by the city just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, Milan snowplow crews have been working since 11 pm.. Tuesday to clear roads, which are now in "great shape.”

In the press release, Mayor Kym Muckler expressed gratitude to Milan residents for their assistance and patience during storm clean-up efforts.
