What does a Farmers Market offer in the winter?

Well…some of our farmers have “hoop houses” and can offer spinach, kale, collards, chard, lettuce, arugula, choi, parsley and hopefully more.  The vendors say it depends on the weather what they can grow.  Apples are still plentiful at least through February and maybe longer. Of course baked goods including breads, muffins, cookies, granola, sweet rolls, brownies, pepperoni rolls and pies will be plentiful through the winter as well as hand made candies, chocolate, maple syrup, jams/jellies, eggs, local cheese, fresh roasted coffee beans, and specialty food items such as sauerkraut.

Also available is a wide variety of hand crafted items including hand made jewelry, soaps, hats, scarves, socks, mittens, dolls, Christmas ornaments, wooden items such as bowls, pen/pencils, key chains, desk sets, salt & pepper shakers, as well as natural media craft including Native American medicine wheels, rattles and smudge and more.

Who knows what else will show up at this special and unique Indoor Winter Farmers Market.

Come by often to discover what our local farmers, bakers and crafters bring to the market.
