Mother's Day Gifts at the Saline Farmers Market

Do your shopping for Mother's Day at the Saline Farmers Market.

Every Saturday, 8am-noon, May-Oct., Downtown, S. Ann Arbor St., ½ block south of Michigan Ave.

Many Mother’s Day gifts are available at the market including beautiful hanging baskets, potted plants, flowering shrubs, vegetable and herb plants, unique and one of a kind yard art, candles, soaps, lip balms, lotions, hand-crafted wood bowls, pen sets, beautiful silver jewelry, hand-made purses and more.  Baked goods are plentiful including coffee cake (a favorite of our customers), delicious breads, muffins, cookies, and granola.  Specialty items include maple syrup, coffee, and eggs.  Spring produce is in including asparagus (yum!), lettuce, arugula and more.

Master Gardeners from the MSU extension will be available at the Farmers Market May and June and September and October to answer your gardening questions, and provide information on horticultural topics of interest to market customers.  Master Gardeners are versed in a range of horticultural topics having received certification after attending nearly 50 hours of education sessions at the MSU extension and then passing the certification exam.  They also have access to information through the extension and can follow-up or direct inquiries to appropriate sources if necessary.  Gardeners have received training in soil preparation and maintenance, horticultural and pest problem diagnosis and environmentally appropriate response, and in-depth insights into the attributes and variety of plants available within plant groupings such as vegetables, fruits, perennials, annuals, lawns and woody ornamentals.
