Auditions are coming up for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

Saline Area Players offer auditions for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever on October 15 & 16. Those of all ages are invited to audition. A great family activity!

Are you looking for something to do as a family?  Consider being in a play! 

Saline Area Players announce auditions for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson.  Auditions will take place at 7:00 on October 15 & 16 in the orchestra room at the Saline Middle School, 7190 N. Maple Rd., Saline.  Those auditioning are invited to come to one of the two nights.  Callbacks, as needed, will be October 17 at 7:00.  The dates of the show are November 29-December 2. Men, women, teens and kids (5+) are invited to audition for this show.

This hilarious one-act play will be co-directed by Kara Williams and Elizabeth Champion, both recent grads of Hope College.  Kara grew up in Saline and graduated from Saline High School. In this beloved story, a reluctant pageant director is determined to succeed with "the worst kids in the whole history of the world" – the Herdmans! Bullies, thieves, smokers and more, the Herdman siblings are bent on turning the Christmas Pageant into Revenge at Bethlehem!

Auditions will consist of readings from the script plus various theater and improvisation games.  Auditioners do not need to prepare anything prior to the auditions.  Plan to come early to fill out an audition form.  Rehearsals will be Monday-Thursday nights starting October 23.  They will begin at 7:00 pm and end at 8:30 pm for younger actors, and 9:00 pm for others.
