Good Morning Saline from Joseph Labuta, 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner

Today's Good Morning Saline greeting is from Joseph Labuta.

Labuta, Professor Emeritus of Music and former Associate Chair of the Music Department and Director of Music Education at Wayne State University, is best known locally as the founder of the New Horizons Band. He was selected as winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award for 2012 by the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce.

Labuta is one of several people who will be honored during the event, to be held 5:30 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 13 at .

The annual event, sponsored by the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce, also honors Youth of the Year, , Citizen of the Year , the George A. Anderson Vision Awardee Cindy Czubko, and Chamber Community Spirit Awardee Stan Poet.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students. After April 6, tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students. Dinner will be served by the Saline High School Culinary Arts students.
