Christmas on Rentschler Farm

Visit the Rentschler Museum Farmhouse to see how families prepared for the Christmas holiday when money was tight and everyone had to be frugal. They "made do" with what they had and used natural things found on the farm. A few gifts were wrapped in leftover paper and placed under the tree. Home baked cookies were made from carefully saved eggs, butter, and flour. Odd bits of paper were used to create interesting and colorful decorations.

The gift shop will be open. Consider purchasing small gifts, ornaments, local history books for family and friends. Gift shop profits support our museums.

Light refreshments will be served. Admission by dontion.
