Colored Pencil Classes

"18 Pencils And You're On Your Way!"

Pre-requisite:  Beginning Colored Pencil “18 Pencils And You’re On Your Way!”  

You must have your own supplies for this class.  This class is a “progressive” study of colored pencil. Students will work independently under the supervision of the instructor who will do demonstrations and one-on-one advisement as needed.  Bring your own 8x10 colored photo reference to work from.   CAUTION:  This class may become addictive!

Colored Pencil is a great way to begin to learn to paint without the mess. The many lessons learned in this class are transferrable to other medium. If you already paint, but find that you like to paint very "tightly" and use a lot of "detailing," this medium is right up your alley. You will learn about the color wheel, different techniques including burnishing, blending, and mixing colors (Yes, you can do that in pencil!).  Kathe will teach you her “18 Pencil” method (published in Ann Kullberg’s “CP Magazine”).  Pre-registration required.  This is a "progressive" class and you will need your own supplies.
