Weekend Planner: Hornet Homecoming, Harvest on the Farm and More.

It's Homecoming week in Saline.

1.  Saline Hornet Homecoming Football

When/Where: 7 p.m., Friday night at Hornet Stadium at .

Why Go: Support your home team, check out the student floats, see the who is chosen Homecoming Queen and Mr. Pretty Legs, and enjoy all that comes with a fall football game. Plus this game is a "maize out!" Wear your maize Saline shirts. Shirts are available at www.salinespirit.com or the Saline Athletic Office.  Go Hornets!

Cost: $5



When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday at the , 750 Woodland Dr.

Why Go: Every woman should have the confidence to know she could protect herself in a sticky situation.

Cost: $35


When/Where: Noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Rentschler Farm Museum, 1265 E. Michigan Ave., from noon-5pm. Park in the adjacent shopping center and take a free wagon ride over to the farm.

Why Go: Tons of farm fun with animals, farm demonstrations, farmhouse tours and refreshments by Kiwanis and Lions Club.

Cost:  $1 for adults, kids are FREE



When/Where: 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Saline District Library, 550 N. Maple Rd.

Why Go: For any child in grades 1-5, this is a great way enjoy their passion for Star Wars. Listen to an exciting story and create a coordination craft.

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at , 7025 E. Michigan Ave.

Why Go: See on display all the different ways quilters used their “Snow Play” fabric. Come and view quilts, totes, placemats, or whatever else participants came up with during the Snow Play Challenge. Get great ideas for holiday projects. Refreshments will be provided.

Cost: Free.
