Weekend Planner: Antiques, Magic, Mutts That Strut, and a Visit From Ronald MacDonald
Need something to do this weekend? We here at Patch want to make sure you have a plan! Here are five nifty things to do this weekend right here in Saline.
1. Mother and Son Magical Evening
When/Where: 6:30 p.m., Friday Liberty School Cafeteria and Auditorium, 7265 N. Ann Arbor St.
Why Go: Jason Magic will perform plenty of awesome tricks for moms, aunts, grandmas and the little men in their lives. Pizza and refreshments will be served.
Cost: $20 per couple, $5 each additional boy
2. Saline Hornet Football
When/Where: 7 p.m. Friday, Pioneer High School.
Why Go: Hornets need support more than ever at away games! Cheer them on to victory!
Cost: $5
3. Strut’n Your Mutt 3rd Annual Charity Walk
When/Where: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday at , 565 W. Bennett St. in Saline. Sponsored by Saline K9 Crusaders.
Why Go: All proceeds benefit Friends of Michigan Animal Rescue. You and your pooch will enjoy a Chinese raffle, group dog walk, K9 Costume contest, behaviorists and trainers, pet vendors, dog games, micro-chipping, pet adoption, food and fun!
Cost: Donation
4. Visit with Ronald McDonald, W4 Country and Ronald McDonald House
Where/When: 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Saline .
Why Go: W4 Country is holding a Radio-thon and promoting the 5 Million Penny Fundraiser Roof Sit-In for Ronald McDonald House Ann Arbor. Ronald McDonald will be at McDonalds from 5-7 p.m. and there will be karaoke from 6-8 p.m.
Cost: Bring your pennies!
5. Antiques Market
When/Where: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, 5055 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd.
Why Go: There will be seven buildings and many tents full of antiques.
