Weekend Countdown: To Market, To Market

Get through the week by thinking of the fun that lies ahead.

Tuesday. Almost half-way to the weekend. If you already find yourself wishing for Friday, we can help. No, we don't have a time machine, but we do have suggestions for things-to-do.

Today's pick:

Winter Farmers Market

  • Where: Liberty School, 7265 N. Ann Arbor St.
  • When: 9 a.m.-noon Saturday
  • Pricing: Free admission
  • Why Go: There was a — let's call it a pre- — Winter Farmers Market open on Nov. 5 — but it formally opens this Saturday with a ribbon cutting and refreshments. And of course, all the goodness a farmers market has to offer: apples, in-season produce, cider, baked goods, jams, jellies, cheeses, eggs, crafts and more. The perfect way to shop locally.

Hungry for more? Check back for another weekend thing-to-do tomorrow.
