Tournament Time: 3 Big Reds and One Hornet Bound for The Palace

The state wrestling tournament begins Thursday.

There will be three Big Reds and one Hornet at the MHSAA state wrestling finals taking place at The Palace of Auburn Hills Thursday-Saturday.

Saline’s Adam Bruley, 39-15, will wrestle in the 112-pound weight class in Division 1.

Milan has three wrestlers in the Division 2 tournament, including Tim Sims, the senior with a 55-0 record. Sims, ranked third in his divisional weight class by Michigangrappler.com, is wrestling at 152 pounds. Matt Schultz, 47-8, managed to qualify for the finals despite going to regionals as a low seed. Schultz is wrestling at 215 pounds. Dillon Farrell, 20-5, is the third Big Red at The Palace. He bounced back from an injury-riddled start of the season and made it through districts and regionals. He’s wrestling at 145 pounds.
