Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Washtenaw County

The storms should be in the Saline and Dexter area by 6:50 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Washtenaw County and southern Livingston County until 7:30 p.m.

At 6:11 p.m., the National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing hail the size of a quarter and damaging winds in excess of 60 miles per hour. The storms are also producing torrential rainfall that could cause flash flooding.

The storms are expected to be in the Saline and Dexter area by 6:50 p.m. They are moving east at 40 miles per hour.
