Scattered Thunderstorms Expected

Thunderstorms are expected late in the afternoon and into the evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for Washtenaw County, warning that scattered thunderstorms will develop late this afternoon across the area.

The storms are capable of producing brief, heavy downpours, small hair and gusty winds, according to the statement, and will persist into the evening.

Temperatures are expected to fall into the 60s by 10 p.m.

The forecast calls for a cloudy and cooler Friday, with a high of 73 and chance rain and thundershowers.
