Free Cones at DQ
To mark the first day of spring, the is giving away free small cones. The Dairy Queen Free Cone Day promotion to benefit the Children’s Hospital, the southeast Michigan affiliate of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Stores will accept cash donations that day through a Children’s Miracle Network donation bucket with proceeds going to Children’s Miracle Network at Beaumont. For more, see .
Main Street Official Announcement Tonight
Salinians are invited to tonight a representatives from the Michigan Main Street Center formally announce in the downtown revitalization program. There is a press conference at 7 p.m. Dessert will be served by the Saline Main Street program, previously known as the Saline Historic Downtown Alliance and Route 12 to Main Street groups. As a full-fledged Michigan Main Street community, Saline will receive five years of intensive technical assistance, through the Michigan Main Street program, with a focus on revitalization strategies designed to attract new residents, business investment, economic growth and job creation to their central business district.

We’re Off to See the Wizard
The Saline Community Education Junior Theater presents the Marvelous Adventures of the Munchkinland Mayor (The Wizard of Oz) at 7:30 p.m. March 23-24 and 2 p.m. March 25 at the auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door. For more information, call 429-8000, ext. 2338.
