Oktoberfest and Harvest of the Arts in Downtown Saline Saturday

The fun got started Friday and kicks into high gear Saturday in downtown Saline.

The crowd peaked at about 300 people as Oktoberfest celebrations began in downtown Saline Friday night.

Here is a schedule of Saturday's Oktoberfest and Harvest of the Arts events and activities.

8 a.m. — Saline Farmers Market until 1 p.m. at the parking lot behind Mac's.

9 a.m. — Volksmarch 5k/10k Walk until 3 p.m.

10 a.m. — Oktoberfiest Bier Garten opens on South Ann Arbor Street. Until 9 p.m.

10 a.m. — Harvest of the Arts Art Fair on North Ann Arbor Street, until 5 p.m. Over 50 fine artists are on display. Culinary Arts students have a bakesale.

10 a.m. — Kinderplatz until 4 p.m. on South Ann Arbor Street. Inflatable jumpers, crafts, cookies, pony rides and more for kids.

10 a.m. — 212 Arts Center Inspiration Station until 4 p.m. It's a make-n-take art event for adults.

10 a.m. — First Presbyterian Church Quilt Show unti 3 p.m.

10:30 a.m. — Dedication of the "Seats of Our Heritage" public art installation, by Rick Detroyer, on North Ann Arbor Street.

11 a.m. — Luther Schaible German Band at Oktoberfest.

11 a.m. — Local Music State on North Ann Arbor Street. Local band are playing until 4 p.m.

1:30 p.m. — Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader Contest at Oktoberfest.

2 p.m. — New Horizons German Band at Oktoberfest.

3:30 p.m. — Saline Fiddlers at Oktoberfest

5 p.m. — Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader Contest at Oktoberfest.

5 p.m. — Electric Vehicle Display on South Ann Arbor Street.

5:30 p.m. — George Bedard and Drivin' Sideways at Oktoberfest
