Good Morning Saline

The Weather

Weather.com calls for a high of 56 with showers early and the clouty skies in the afternoon. The temperature will drop to 39 tonight with accasional showers. The sun rises at 8 a.m. and sets at 6:37 p.m.

Trick or Treat

Trick or Treating takes place from 6 to 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, according to the City of Saline website. As in previous years, Saline Police Officers will be out on patrol to ensure the safety of children.

The city advises that parents should be aware to always check the contents of the bags before allowing children to consume any of the treats.

CyberSafety Presentation at Saline Middle School

Saline Police Detective Don Lupi, Saline High School resource officer Tiffany Small, school officials and representatives from the Washtenaw Area Council for Children will be at Saline Middle School at 7 p.m. Nov. 3 to help parents learn more keeping their children "cybersafe, cybersecure and cyberethical." It's part of the district's "Stop.Think Connect!" campaign to keep kids safe while online.

Tracking the Hornets

The Saline varsity field hockey team lost 6-0 to host Pioneer in the state quarterfinals Tuesday. Goalie Jessie Opaleski made several great saves but the Hornets couldn't survive the Pioneer onslaught. The varsity volleyball team ended its SEC season with a 25-17, 26-24, 19-25 and 25-14 win over host Chelsea Tuesday. Saline plays at home in a quad at 4 p.m. Thursday.
