Good Morning Saline (Thanksgiving Edition)

From now until Thanksgiving, our greeters will tell us about things for which they are thankful. Today's Good Morning Saline greeter is Frank Flores, the former Saline softball coach who can often be found helping out at Saline High School athletics events.

Take A Veteran To School Day

Fifth grade students receieved a civics lesson on Take A Veteran to School Day last week. Lynne Coughlin’s 32 students invited a veteran to their class as part of their social studies curriculum on patriotism and civic duty. The 32 veterans had served all around the world, in places such as Korea, Vietnam and the Middle East. While most were retired, one young man had just returned from Iraq two weeks ago. Chamber of Commerce Monthly Newsletter Released

The Saline Area Chamber of Commerce has released its monthly Small Business Advocate newsletter. In it, the chamber lends its support to the new international bridge crossing between Detroit and Windsor. In the "Doctor Is In" column, the Chamber Doctor tells us what's going on with the Little Ceasars and The Calico Cat building.

Tracking The Hornets

The Saline volleyball team opened post-season play at Bedford, sweeping Milan 25-16, 25-11 and 25-19. Saline advances to Thursday night's match against host Bedford. The match at 5:30 p.m.
