The first day back to school didn't see much varsity sports action. In the only varsity contest, the Saline field hockey team battled to a scoreless tie with Ann Arbor Greenhills. The junior varsity Hornets won their game, 1-0, over Greenhills.

Teens Arrested in Armed Robbery Case

in connection with an alleged armed robbery that took place this summer in Saline. The teens, a 16-year-old Pittsfield boy and 15-year-old Saline girl, are accused of assaulting an alleged drug deal to steal marijuana.
