2. The Last Block Party Concert

The Summer Music Series wraps up tonight in downtown Saline. Rain forced the first three concerts indoors. This one might have to move to Liberty School as well. But if not, it'll be on South Ann Arbor Street, between Michigan Avenue and Henry Street. Grab a bit to eat or an ice cream while downtown and support your local merchants.

Over at the Saline District Library,. Besides, it's cool and dry, and there are plenty of things to do at the library even if puppets aren't your thing.

5. Be Safe In Ann Arbor

The most disturbing news in the county is coming from Ann Arbor, where six women have been attacked recently. In the most recent case, a University of Michigan student was grabbed from behind and fondled by a man as she was walking to her car in a parking lot on South State Street. In this article from AnnArbor.com, Ann Arbor Police Chief Barrett Jones urged women to use common sense when walking around the city. Police believe one or two men are behind the attacks.
