1. The Weather

We follow up yesterday's warm weather and blue skies with more of the same. Expect mostly sunny skies with a high of 86. The weather could turn stormy overnight, however.

2. 212 Art On the Go

Rob Kinsey and Amara Karapas are instructing art workshops at Fifth Corner Teen Center from 1 to 3 p.m. Workshops are free and registration should take place through the teen center.

3. Feller, TerHaar File for City Council

As of 4:48 p.m. Tuesday, only two people people had filed nominating petitions to run for Saline City Council. Incumbent Linda TerHaar and retired Saline Police dispatcher, have filed. The seats currently held by TerHaar and Glenn Law, and the seat that was held by Pat Ivey, will be determined in the November election. Councillor Law recently told Patch he hadn't decided whether he will seek election again. Resident Jim Roth pulled a nominating petition but has not yet filed.

4. Like Father, Like Son

Saline Reporter journalist Sean Dalton wrote a story about 12-year-old Saline actor Linus Babcock, who starred as Winthrop Paroo in the Encore Musical Theatre's "The Music Man." He is the son of Leo Babcock, who took at turn the Saline Area Players' "The Sound of Music" earlier this year.

5. Hoffman Third Amateur Championship

According to the Grand Rapids Press, Saline's Sarah Hoffman, who studies and golfs at Grand Valley State University, shot a 74 to finish at 146 at Michigan Women's Amateur Championship held at Prestwick Village Golf Club in Highland Township Tuesday. She is the third seed as the tournament moves to match play.
