Main Street Bid Receives Boost From County Board

Saline's bid to join the Michigan Main Street program at the "select level" received another boost last night when the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution in support of the Saline Historic Downtown Alliance's application. Saline is currently an associate-level member of the group, which supports downtown revitalization, marketing and economic development efforts. To become a "select level" member, the alliance must show how it will fund a full-time manager's position.

Tracking the Hornets

The Lady Hornets continue postseason volleyball action tonight against host Bedford in district play. The match begins at 5:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the Hornets long distance runners are preparing for the the cross country finals, which take place Saturday at Michigan International Speedway. The boys race at 3 p.m. and the girls race at 2 p.m. If you can't make it, you can can catch a live stream at MHSAA.tv.

Fall Choir Concert Tonight

The Concert and Chamber Choirs join The Chordsmen and The Ten Tones and Saline Middle School Cantus and Lyric Choirs for an evening of choral music. The Fall Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Saline High School Fine Arts Center. A reception catered by the Saline High School Culinary Arts Department will follow the concert.
