Tracking the Hornets

School hasn't started yet, but high school sports is running full throttle. It was a busy week for Saline's student-athletes. In cross country, both the and won their events Saturday at Island Lake State Park. The Saline Hornets varsity volleyball team Saturday. Also, Saturday, the, 1-0. 9/11 Memorial Art Effort Continues

The Saline Area Schools art department and Saline Area Fire Department is seeking help from children as it continues work on the 9/11 Memorial Art Project called “Holding Heroes in Our Hearts — Never Forget 343." Children at the Saline Community Fair Merchants Barn from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday can contribute their hand prints to the project. The prints will go over the names of 343 emergency responders who died on 9/11. For more information about the project, .
