Get Ready for Slippery, Snowy Commutes To End the Week

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch beginning Thursday evening and lasting into Friday morning that includes Saline.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for parts of southeast Michigan, including Washtenaw County, beginning Thursday evening and lasting into Friday morning. Up to 3 inches of snow could fall Thursday night in Saline, with less than an inch of additional accumulation possible Friday morning, the forecasting agency warns.

Sleet also may mix with the snow Thursday night, according to the NWS.

"Visibilities under one-quarter mile will be possible Thursday afternoon and Thursday night," the forecasting agency says. "Roads may become snow-covered and slippery, affecting the morning commute on Friday."

The high Thursday is expected to be 32 degrees, with a low of 30; Friday, the high is expected to be 31, with a low of 10 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
