Flood Warning In Effect

Heavy downpours were expected to drop 1-3 inches of rain on the region

The area is under a flood warning issued by the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac.

Wednesday morning's heavy rainfall and showers throughout the afternoon and evening are expected to bring one to three inches.

The flood warning is in effect until 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

High rainfall from thunderstorms are expected to cause water to flood some roads in an around the Detroit Metro area Wednesday morning an afternoon. Runoff caused by excessive rainfall will cause flooding in low lying areas, creeks and rivers.
