“Mike was our inspirational leader during the 1978 - 1982 seasons. As a Huron, he played with pride and determination. After graduation, Mike taught for many years in the Saline school system where he continued to serve as an inspiration to a generation of young people,” said Mike Crowell, a former teammate who works with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s office. “It is our vision and goal to honor Mike and his many contributions to his community by naming the EMU Offensive Line Meeting Room in his honor."

Crowell and his friends are attempting to raise $20,000 to rename the room.
