Arbor Hospice Foundation Seeks Donations to Fund Patient Programs

Donors can receive a hand-stitched felt heart for $25. Proceeds will fund ongoing programs at Arbor Hospice.

Tis the season to give back, and Arbor Hospice is reaching out to its local supporters for end-of-the-year donations.

Individuals can purchase hand-stitched hearts with pink and red flowers for a suggested minimum donation of $25 as part of the foundation's "Hearts of Remembrance" fundraiser. Proceeds support programs such as pediatric hospice, grief support, uncompensated care and complementary therapies.

For more than 20 years, Arbor Hospice volunteers have created thousands of felt hearts, each year featuring a new design. Available all year, the hearts are particularly popular around the holidays.

All Hearts of Remembrance donations support Arbor Hospice's work in providing care and grief support services to thousands of patients and families facing the end-of-life journey throughout southeast Michigan.

Hearts of Remembrance are available online at www.arborhospice.org, by phone at 734-794-5120, or by visiting The Residence of Arbor Hospice, 2366 Oak Valley Drive in Ann Arbor.

Arbor Hospice will also mail a heart to out-of-town recipients on a customer's behalf.
