Vote for Saline in the "It's About Place" Contest!

The "It's About Place" contest is on for one month.Help Saline win! Vote daily at http://letssavemichigan.com/placemaking-contest/entry/alley-project-saline/

We need your DAILY vote!

Recently, our Saline Main Street Design team submitted an application to apply for a grant to the Michigan Municipal League’s ‘It’s About Place’ Contest to beautify one of our Downtown alleys. The alley is located on the west side of South Ann Arbor Street near Brecon Grille, Perry’s Tuxedo, Waggles N Whiskers, and Mangiamo’s. We hope to improve and beautify this underutilized and forgotten space into a much needed community gathering space by forging community partnerships and cooperation. The City of Saline and the business owners adjacent to the alley will work together to make the future improvements. If the grant is awarded to Saline, then fundraising will be necessary to help pay for the improvements.

At least one participant will receive the $2,000 grand prize to build his or her project, and multiple runners-up will receive smaller awards. After a month of public voting, 10 finalists will be sent to the judges for the final choices. Saline Main Street would like to thank Linda Klenczar (lindaklenczar.com) for assisting us by creating the beautiful black and white illustration that we used to submit the grant application!
